Take a few minutes so I can tell you more about Cairns in Tropical North Queensland, Australia. This is an amazing place and one of the most popular destinations in the Land Down Under!
I'm in love with the Great Barrier Reef and the relaxed lifestyle of Cairns. Only so much with the wonderful rain forest and the virgin in the World Heritage tropical north-east. That gave me the idea that shares information with equally adventurousPeople all over the world. I want you with the knowledge and information to make the decision to experiment and have fun, what is the best place on earth has to offer can do.
Cairns is a town of about 130 000 inhabitants, is growing rapidly. The city is situated between the Great Dividing Range Mountains and the Great Barrier Reef down. The city is part of and surrounded by rainforest and is described as a "garden city". From the shore, followed by the Great Barrier Reefon land and can be visited in many styles to choose from. Iceland and the possibility Reef? Charter - Day to find - even at night charter and serve the best of what you expect in your holiday. Most of the larger islands called, offers a variety of activities such as swimming, snorkeling, diving, hiking, boating, glass-bottom and semi-submersible tour. There are also activities such as diving helmet, sea-diving, kayaking, Museum of Maritime Affairs, paragliding or even in some camping and fishing. Other adventure activities? Bungy Jumping - AJ Hackett is the inventor of bungy jumping and Cairns was obviously one of the first decisions in Australia to construct an adrenaline junky introduce other people who think the "race". You have resently just celebrated 20 years of safe diving in Cairns! Hot Air Balloon - a champagne breakfast in the breathtaking Go Tablelands, west of Cairns. Watch the Sunrise over the rain forests in the east, whileagricultural land on you as it comes from. Whitewater Rafting - Make your choice! Half day to full day packages, moderate to Daring! Take the Barron River or take on the mighty Tully River, will provide an extreme experience. Sky-diving - So many options to choose from. Different heights, different places, with different points of view! Expert from the sky diving, tandem sky diving around. Paragliding - having fun while being towed by a powerful motorboat hanginga parachute. Ultralights - Get Started hours of ultralight flight from Port Douglas. Enjoy the spectacular view, slipping between the beaches and river systems, while continuing to make flight hours in force at the same time. Kayaking - There are few places for canoeing and enjoy the freedom of the sea. Jet-ski - a lot of fun is the word! ATV riding - This is the description of "All Terrain Vehicles," 4 wheels, or dirt bikes. Just around the Tablelands, youTo test the possibility of your off-road skills on some off-road trails. Fishing - If you are in the tropics and horses, what better place to "relax" like a horse. There are many places to choose from. Take a winding road into the woods, or playing in the waves on the beach. Four-wheel drive, off-road driving - test your skills on the various off-road in the area, the famous Bloomfield Track from Cape Tribulation to Cooktown, or even to the point of Cape York. Swinging Jungle- There are two options to choose from. The only site where you where AJ Hackett bungy jumping and the second at Cape Tribulation. At Cape Tribulation you can choose between a crocodile-spotting expedition into the night to choose, or a wildlife-spotting around at night in the local forest. One of the most versatile and natural ecosystems of the world can be found near Cape Tribulation.
Fishing? If you want to go fishing, Cairns is the right place! From fishing to fish the inland lakes for the famous barramundi, mangrove estuaries for JackTrevally, salmon, blue, Barramundi, or have not yet scratched the surface of choice! You can fish many rivers, beaches, cliffs, islands, coral reefs or the deep waters of the Coral Sea. Cairns is going to be on top of the list for the heavy field - the Black Marlin! I have not even mentioned the many tuna, mackerel and other species of deepwater favorites. With at least 1,500 known species of fish on the reef itself, the possibilities are endless!
CityLife? Walking markets to be excited about the Cairns night markets, and all local and foreign products for sale. Pamper yourself with the variety of food served. Cairns-shop are so many malls to choose from, but the most famous, in the heart of the city, would be in Cairns Central. If you want to take home souvenirs, there are more shops in town that you can handle. This is one of the reasons why Cairns is famous as a vacation-destination!Take your time and relax some of the different stores, or just sit and while you have a coffee or a breakfast, a full meal in one of the food outlets. Night life in Cairns is famous for its nightlife, with many pubs and discos. Always tons of people to meet and the atmosphere is electric! Be prepared to party all night!
Visit the city? Kuranda-This is a great little town to explore! It is described as a village in the forest. It is preciselyMarkets and as I said, a bird and butterfly sanctuary. Also nearby are the wetlands, you can take help of old army duck, an amphibious vehicle on land and in water from the well itself can be explored. And 'relaxing for a nice, easy-going town and a nice place. The Safari Wildlife Park is also within walking distance from the city. If you take the road to Kuranda, be sure to stop in the picturesque vantage point from where you look down on Cairnswith its fields of sugar cane, with the Coral Sea and Great Barrier Reef in the background away. The winding road takes you to get through the pristine rainforest that will impress. Skyrail-Scenic Another alternative is to take this option to glide over the tops of trees, a few feet above the trees. Glide past the Barron Falls and stop half-way station for a presentation on the history of the forest and learn to see one of the oldest trees in the forest. Many people preferMake a way with Skyrail and Kuranda Scenic Train with the return of which I will discuss later. Kuranda Scenic Railway-This is another option is to visit or return from Kuranda. As I said, this option is very popular for use in combination with the Skyrail. The stunning scenes are the same, but from a different angle. Take a look at Barron's fall, as you go, or try some of the animals prior to the travel website. Barron-fall-of Kuranda, visit the Barron Falls, which can be addedspectacular in the rainy season. Take a scenic path to walk to the viewpoint and passing through the forest beautiful flora and fauna to be excited. This is the Barron Gorge rapids below the fall-Barron, you can visit Cairns. Cross the bridge to the hydroelectric plant and watch the fast water below. The rugged beauty of the surroundings, make for terrific pictures to take home. Copper Lodge Dam / Lake Morris, you can use this dam by a further visit by the Scenic RouteCairns, through a narrow winding road up the mountain. From the beauty of this lake in the clouds eery Cairns, with its pristine, clean, good food and tasty water to be amazed. Crystal Cascades-visit this river in its cool clear water and cold water inviting. The name describes it as "The Cascades Crystal" is very accurate of all the different natural rock pools and rocks his way. From there you can also walk up to the dam Copperhead Lodge, if desired.The natural forest again, simply amazing! Mossmann Gorge-This famous gorge is very similar to the waterfalls of crystal, but only near Port Douglas. The natural pool is very inviting and a pleasure to cool off! The gorge is in the Daintree National Park, one of the world's natural wonders. Josephine-falls / boulders / fall fishery. Those three falls, everything is in different areas between Cairns and Innisfail, and although very similar in the description ofCrystal Cascades and Mossmann Gorge, everyone has to draw its strength and beauty. Visit the Mount Pyramid, where some of them, and verified by the splendor of many smaller falls, around the mountain to be stunned in the rainy season.
Sports? Cairns would be no city, if other than sports. I will not go in much myself, because this is something that is very similar wherever you go. Just as other cities have their share of Cairns sports facilities, all withthe city.
Best locations in a day's drive south of Cairns? Raging Thunder - A great place with breathtaking views and super-Rain Forest, south of Innisfail. Mission Beach-Have fun and enjoy the sun in this long unspoiled beach with lots of activities. Whitsundays-Explore the large group of 74 islands. Leave Airlie Beach for a visit or a stay-over in many of the islands are inhabited. Hamilton Island, with its airport, or the exclusive Hayman Island for people whoexpect the best. Then Lindeman Island is for people who want to share an island with only the bare minimum Daydream Island holiday or fun. You can also visit many of the other islands, like Long Island, Mole South and North Islands, or Iceland Hook. Visit the spectacular Whitehaven Beach, with the purest and highest quality of pure white quartz sand in the world. Your night party at Airlie Beach loving, wise way of life can be compared to Cairnssmall.
Great places within a day, an hour north of Cairns? Port Douglas for the big city and enjoy a nice place when you move away from city life. Heaps of activities, most of which include down to the nearby islands or reef trips. After the famous Mossmann Mossmann Gorge Appointed as I described above. Cape Tribulation - a must, especially if you are a backpacker. A very nice place to participate in various activities, with a natural attraction forPeople, young and old! The nature is unspoiled and raw, and is the only place in the world, where two of the world's natural wonders. The Great Barrier Reef meet the ancient Daintree Rainforest at your fingertips! Go to the reef from the beach in some places! Take the Bloomfield track with the 4 x 4 vehicle through the city last outback, better known as Cooktown known. To the north from there, only dirt roads, until eventually you end up in Cape York, the northernmostPoint of Australia. To be remembered because it will take more than a day and will not be able to do less than well prepared. But this is another adventure worth taking a few thoughts!
